Dear Sirs,

KESTREL ENGINES.

We have to advise you that the 100 hours type test on Kestrel engine No. 1290 has been satisfactorily completed and this engine is now ready for despatch.

The test on engine No. 1289 is proceeding and it is hoped that this engine will be ready for despatch on Thursday next.

You will appreciate that we have experienced some considerable difficulty during the tests on these engines and that a great deal of extra expense has been incurred. We are, however, anxious to assist you to the best of our ability, and are, therefore, prepared to invoice these two engines to you at the standard price, on the understanding that this is entirely without prejudice and that any further orders which you may place with us for

Yours faithfully,
ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.

DIRECTOR AND GENERAL WORKS MANAGER.
