impression is that the material of one set of points, say the Remy, is alloyed with some other material.

We do not want Messrs. Reynolds to make an analysis or to disturb the points in any way. They are only sent for their inspection and we trust that they will be returned to us in the condition as sent.

In the case of the second pair, we would like these two sets sending to Messrs. Johnson Matthey for comparative analysis, and we shall be very interested to know if they can tell us definitely of any difference in composition between the British Remy [handwritten: Reynold] tungsten points and the U.S.A. Remy tungsten contact points, stating that we find a considerable difference in operation under the same external electrical conditions.

It should be remembered that we have had word from Messrs. Johnson Matthey that they will be only too pleased to undertake the analyses of any special contacts.

As I am due to pay a visit to Mr. Royce towards the end of next week or beginning of the following week, it would be much appreciated if this information were available, say, a week to-day, or earlier.
