9th February, 1937.

New-Hudson Ltd.,
Icknield Street,
BIRMINGHAM. 18.

For the attention of Mr. A.{Mr Adams} Fraser.

Dear Sirs,

With reference to your letter of January 19th, we have now considered your remarks re the cost of the work you have done for us on brakes, and appreciate that you have been committed to a considerable expense.

It was unfortunate that the first axle was no good. It was also unfortunate that the second axle when delivered did not allow us full lock without the rods firing, particularly as in neither case could we be held responsible for the mistakes made.

However, we do appreciate the way you have co-operated with us in our attempts to utilise Girling brakes, and are very much indebted to you for your assistance.

Under the circumstances, we are agreeing to pay half the total of your out-of-pocket expenses which comes to £87/10/-, instead of the £55 upon which we originally agreed.

Our official order will follow in due course.

Yours faithfully,

For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
