Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

For the attention of Mr. F.{Mr Friese} Ll. Smith.

Dear Sirs,

We have to acknowledge with many thanks receipt of your letter of the 13th instant and as requested we are arranging to put in hand immediately one 10.A6 ventilated type clutch with the spring pressure adjusted to take care of 206-lbs.ft. torque.

Clutch will be despatched to you as early as possible and we trust it will arrive in time to meet your requirements.

We regret to note that you are experiencing trouble with judder on driven plate No.2 as fitted to you experimental Phantom III car and should be interested to examine this plate just as soon as you have an opportunity of removing same.

We feel that it would be just as well to carefully examine the friction faces of both flywheel and pressure plate to make sure that a very smooth ground surface is obtained.

We look forward to hearing from you in due course regarding the performance of plate No.3 which the writer handed to you on Wednesday last.

Yours faithfully,
BORG & BECK COMPANY LIMITED.

H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} T. Barker.
