Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY Dear Mr. Hives, I am sending you herewith the detailed drawings for the adoption of my suspension for your 20/25.HP. chassis without front brakes, omitting these brakes simply to facilitate the tests and to save time. You will notice however, that on the housing box we have allowed a place, once the scheme for the brakes has been decided, for a reaction arm. As you suggested, certain parts could be supplied by you and I shall make the others. Would you be kind enough to confirm to me that this work is being done at your expense. It is not my intention to make any profit in this matter and shall therefore send you duplicates of all bills for prints, manufacture and assemblage. If you are in accordance, I should be glad to receive, along with your acceptance, a check for £200. on account. The following list of parts, marked in blue on the nomenclature, are the parts to be supplied by you: 3525 - 3526 - 3529 - 3530 - 3559 - 3566 - 3567 - 3569 - 3570 - 3571 On parts No.3525 - 3526 - 3529 - 3530, you will please note that the parts marked in red will be completed by me.
