Ph.III & 25 HP. Steering.

As a result of the failure of the Timken bearings on the roller of 33-EX steering, we do not wish to use any more of these bearings. These bearings are at present fitted to 35-EX, 36-EX and 21-G-IV, and are specified for 37-EX.

Will you please replace these as the opportunity arises by rollers with adamant bearings in the case of Ph.III, and ball bearings in the case of 21-G-IV. The steering of 37-EX which is now being built up should also have Adamant bearings on the roller.

This changeover does not apply to the bearings of the cam, as these are very much larger and we have no doubt of their ability to take the load.
