" Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst. Bentley Instrument Lighting. As we understand that Works are committed up to the end of "L" series with instruments for Bentleys, it seems unnecessary to consider introducing such a modification in the present Bentley in view of the development of Bentley III. As you know, no chassis have been instructed beyond the end of "L" series, and we suggest, therefore, that any development of this improved Bentley instrument panel and improved lighting should now be done having regard only to Bentley III.
