To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to CJ. X4195 R11/G6.9.21. X.4195 - RE ARMOURED CAR TEST. I think it would be a good thing if you took one of our standard chassis where there is a short steep hill and make tests of a known gradient of 1 in 5 where it is quite safe in case the load is too much for the power or brakes, and load up the chassis a few cwts. at a time, and find out the limit of weight that the brake will pull up on this grade from a slow speed and see with what load the low gear, the clutch and the engine are capable of starting on such a grade.
