Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /280 Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 6/R.27.3.39. Steadman, who is now at Marstons, asked me whether we could let him have one of our old experimental engines for heat interchange unit. We have an old scrap P.III unit which we offered to sell him for £100, plus the repair charge for dismantling and putting in decent condition. We also offered him some pedestals, which we do not require, for mounting his engine on at cost, plus usual profit. Marston's are, of course, in a position to help us considerably on our cooling problems. We should be glad to have your agreement with regard to this proposal.
