9th. August 1938.

Messrs. Clayton Dewandre Co. Ltd.,
Titanic Works,
LINCOLN.

For the attention of Mr.S.E.Willet.

Dear Sirs,

Referring to your letter of the 7th. May, in which you give us a quotation for the supply of the S.2.R.A. heater (£3. 0.0d per heater) we would be interested to know the reason for the increase in price of this heater over the S.2.C.A. type which you quoted us at £2.0.0d.

As far as we are aware, the difference between the two heaters lies in the motor, and while tests which we have been carrying out establish that the S.2.R.A. motor is quieter than the S.2.C.A. type, we shall be surprised to learn that the motor unit only is responsible for this difference in price.

We are anxious to clear up this matter as soon as possible so that we may settle which heater to order.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
