-2- FACING. CONTINUOUS RING OR SEGMENTED. R.P.M. RESULT DATE. Thermoid Segmented 4750 Outer edges flew off Aug. 27th. S.6777 Cloth oblique test improved.ring. impregnation. 6800 Remained intact. " ditto. Segmented 6800 Steel plate burst facing intact. " These tests show that the S.6777 made from the obliquely out cloth with improved method of impregnation is fully satisfactory as regards bursting strength as a continuous ring and also when segmented. We are anxious to carry out road tests to show whether or not the frictional and take up qualities equal those of Thermoid will be maintained after continued service. Will you therefore please send us 12 - 13½" facings without rivet holes as soon as possible. Our official order will follow on receipt of your quotation. We would be glad to know if you can supply similar quantities of both 10" and 11" facings, also without rivet holes, together with your quotation.
