BENTLEY PETROL PUMPS.
---------------------

With reference to the changeover of the above mentioned in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Bwg.{J. C. Bowring}1/KW.18.7.34.

It has been arranged that all future pumps supplied by the S.U. Co. shall have the letter 'H' stamped on the O/S. of the pump base, this signifies that the pumps have the correct "Hecla" core material in and do not need changing.

We have been advised by the Makers that the last few batches of pumps supplied have had the 'H' stamped on the inside of the base front, which of course cannot be seen without removing the unit from the dashboard. All pumps found stamped in this manner should be restamped as above and it is not necessary to return them to the S.U. Co. as they are up to date in every respect.

All pumps supplied since Jan. 1st, 1934, which are unstamped are "suspect", and must be returned to the Makers for rectification. We give below the numbers of chassis despatched during 1933, the pumps on these cars are in order and should be stamped in turn :-
