Even if R-R have to fit the shock absorbers free of charge; to fit "Hartfords" to a car is the cheapest way of obtaining the desired results. The disadvantages we see in the Hartford Shock Absorbers is that we should expect them to need a certain amount of adjustment to keep the friction reasonably constant. This is due to the fact that a very high rating springs is used which means the slight amount of wear varies the load considerably. As the adjustment is so convenient and simple; we do not think this is a serious objection.
