25HP. LOW INERTIA SPRING DRIVE.

We understand that Mr. Ellis is having trouble in getting the required driving load on this type of spring drive. We notice that the gauge of the outer drive spring is incorrect being .086 instead of .092. Unless the heavier gauge wire is used we anticipate trouble on production with timing gear rattles. The driving load should be 19-20 lbs at 17½" on the stops. Mr. Ellis succeeded in getting the required load with a set of Exptl Dept springs.
