VALVE MATERIALS IN ENGLAND

The following table shows the analysis of valve materials used in cars, aero engines etc. in use in England. Some of the particulars were obtained by analysis and others from engine makers - in the latter case the name of the steel rather than the detailed analysis is given. Maker means valve supplied by engine maker and pirate means that supplied by a parts supplier.
