R.R. 199 (250T) (SD676 19-7-17) MP18086s x9940 To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to CJ. c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}4/M11.11.22. X.4428 - 40/50 FRONT WHEEL BRAKES. We send herewith N.sch. shewing the top steering lever modified to be of the same type as we have recently done on the Goshawk. It will be seen that it means a new stub axle pivot and a new top steering lever but the pieces are otherwise unaltered. Mr. Royce thinks that you may have got too far with the lever shewn on N.sch.1317 to change now, and suggests that you might make both, and we might subsequently choose the one we like best.
