X8770 Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}/LR{Mr Ellor}/8. 4. 25. Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL. Dear Hives, When E.A.C. is made public, C.J. wants me to use one of them instead of 6-EX which I am now using privately by special arrangement, and suggested that I should make such arrangements as may be convenient to take into use one of the cars at present in use by the Experimental Department. I am therefore writing to you this personal note to ask if you would be able to spare one and how soon you will be able to do without it, after the announcement is made public. It is important that I should use a car that is good in appearance and has a nice body on it as I get about a good deal and take all sorts of people in it, and one naturally wants to create a good impression wherever one goes. 6-EX as you know is an Open 4-seater, and I think I should prefer an Open 4-seater if one is available, or failing that an Allweather, but I do not want to use a permanently shut car like an enclosed Limousine. Would you therefore be so kind as to drop me a line privately after you have had time to consider the matter and let me know what you can suggest. Yours sincerely, LwsCdt. | ||
