X1692 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R c. to CJ. R4/G29.8.21. X.1692 - RE CRANKSHAFT FOR NEW 14 HP. SIX-CYL: ENGINE. X.4405 Will you kindly let us know whether you consider the crankshaft on the Marmon really satisfactory. We are proposing a somewhat similar crankshaft for the new 14-HP. six-cylinder. In the case of our smaller engine we hope it will be capable of running at 4,000 recs., but as the Marmon is a much bigger engine, we thought that if it could do, say, 2700, our smaller one would do 4,000 easily with a crankshaft of about the same proportions. We send you a sketch of our proposals for this crankshaft and shall be glad if you will send us the design and dimensions of the Marmon crankshaft. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
