DY{F R Danby}: c.c. E.Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hds. R.H.C. Les - Any comments? Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Phantom III Rear Shock Damper. With the modified shock damper connecting links to raise and protect the lower ends, the clearance between the axle and the lever arms, though the same as formerly, does not appear to quite provide for all the variations that may occur, and on the car now erecting the shock damper has been moved forward a small amount to provide more. N.Sch.4733 shews how we suggest the job should be carried out permanently, and also gives the resulting clearances with the existing type rear spring and with the new one with rubber bushes. Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} does not intend this to go on production until the new Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} connecting tubes are produced FES N.Sch.4733 herewith. | ||
