Messrs.S.Smith & Sons Ltd.,
Cricklewood Works,
LONDON, N.W.2.

For the attention of Mr.Grose.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letters of June 30th. and July 2nd. With regard to the question of flexible hose mentioned in the first of these letters, we fear that the 1 1/4 inch bore hose would definitely not be large enough for our ducting. We have been able to obtain flexible rubber hose of other diameters than this from the Leyland & Birmingham Rubber Co. Ltd., Leyland, and suggest that they might be able to supply your requirements.

With regard to the Blower C.H.A.2, since we should be using this for drawing air into the body and circulating it, we should presumably not need the four-bladed fan and would like the blower modified accordingly.

The scheme to which we are thinking of working is your Scheme "B". We should be glad to receive the modified Blower as soon as you can let us have it.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
