Dear Sirs,

Referring to your Order No. 57880 we have now received the 12 sets of parts, and find that the free length of the spring is .312", whereas by scaling your Drawing No. HS {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 1077 the working length appears to be 3/8".

This statement is based on the assumption that this drawing shows the gland mounted at working length. As variation of the working length affects the number of convolutions used in the Bellows we should be obliged if you will send us a drawing showing the correct assembly dimensions.

We are today posting to you one gland made up of three convolutions which seems to us to be right, and if you will examine this and let us know we will proceed immediately with the making and despatch them without delay.

Yours truly,

THE PACKLESS GLAND CO. LIMITED.

Director.
