14th 10th December 1910. R6/D101210. [Stamp: CJ 15 XII 10] Claude Johnson, Esq. Dear C.J. The relief valve has proved to be a source of noise and is not very reliable. Mr. Spinney and I have therefore come to the conclusion that we had better alter the pump so that it can only give the required 2 lbs. pressure. This is Mr. Nadin's original suggestion for this purpose. I feared that the delivery valve on the pump would be liable to stick, there being no reserve pressure to insure this working. The relief valve has proved to be an equal amount of trouble, probably greater, as the pump delivery valve might have done. Yours sincerely, [Signature] X1092 | ||
