It has been decided to order material for a further 200 chassis, therefore will you please issue the necessary instructions to the Order Office etc. for this material to be similar to L.2 series with the exception of the following :- Wheels. Exhaust System. Exhaust Cutout. Carburetter parts or any other parts affected by the introduction of exhaust heating to the carburetter. Starting carburetter section and other parts which would be affected if we introduce extra lubrication to the cylinders. Rear end suspension of gearbox, which would be affected if we introduced the new scheme. Parts which would be affected by the introduction of wider foot brakes at the rear. Aluminium tubes in the cylinder head. If the Experimental Department consider that there are any other items which should be held up, will they please let us know as soon as possible.
