1209 To EJJ. from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}3/MH.{M. Huckerby}17.1.39. NO. 2 TEST HOUSE. (1) Will you please scheme out the main engine bed in the above test house to have the universal jacking system as No.5 Test House. For a start we wish to house a B.60 unit and attach herewith the requisition sheet 627/C for the job. NO. 5 TEST HOUSE. (2) We anticipate that we shall be ready for changing over the universal bed in the above test house from Wraith engine to B.60 engine in the next few days. This you schemed out for us some time ago and the millwrights are in possession of the tackle for the job. Further to this, however, we should like to cater for installation of Bentley II and Phantom III (old and new type front engine feet) on this bed. Will you scheme out and instruct for the necessary parts to be made which with the universal jacks is considerably more simple than with fixed pedestals etc. Attached herewith is sheet No.B.5402 for the job.
