COPY OF LETTER RECEIVED FROM THE PRESSED STEEL CO. LTD. ALS:GP 5th February 1940. E.A.Green Esq., 42, Warwick Avenue, Earlsdon, COVENTRY. Dear Mr. Green, I regret not having previously replied to your letter of the 23rd ultimo., with regard to the Rolls Royce - Park Ward, proposition discussed at our Works, and investigated during Mr. Maton's visit with you to the Park Ward factory. Unfortunately, we have not yet proceeded very far with this matter, as our Engineering Department particularly have been completely occupied on very urgent War work, but I am hoping that very shortly we shall be able to get a start and go ahead with our design and estimates for the proposition outlined. As you know, it is not our practice to make any charge for such work, but the circumstances are a little different at present and should our preliminary investigation work cost become too expensive, we shall feel obliged to make a nominal charge for same, although it is hardly possible just now to suggest a figure. Trusting you are well, and with kind regards, Yours sincerely, (Signed) A.L.Shuttleworth. | ||
