SERVICE

In general, service will be by replacement of the inoperative unit. Exceptions are the glass bezel, face gaskets and reflector ring of the dash unit.

Connecting wires and miscellaneous parts are in some cases furnished by AC, and in other cases by the car manufacturer. When furnished by AC these parts will be shown in bulletins covering the gauge application.

SERVICE INSTALLATION

The AC Petrol Gauge is designed only for standard installation by the car manufacturer. It is not recommended for use on cars not so equipped or for replacement of some other make.

TROUBLE CHART

GAUGE ACTION
1. Pointer will not move when ignition switch is turned "On."

2. Gauge shows "Full" under all conditions.

3. Gauge shows "Empty" under all conditions..

CAUSE
Break in line between Dash Unit and Ignition Switch.

Break in line between Dash Unit and Tank Unit.

a.{Mr Adams} Wires reversed on Dash Unit.

b. Dash Unit not "grounded."

c. Tank Unit not "grounded."

REMEDY
Repair line.

Repair line.

Reattach wire to proper terminals.

Replace Dash Unit.

Replace Tank Unit.

Do not attempt to lubricate either Dash Unit or Tank Unit.
