To Mr. Chandler from -R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} c. to WOP. c. to EH. c. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} ORIGINAL X.2402 RE TOOL KIT. 3 R1/B11:5:17. RECEIVED 14 MAY 1917 I am quite in agreement with your memo of April 24th. and am distressed to hear that we cannot manage to send out these simple tools so that they are not a disgrace to us. We ought to be able to send out some really good tools, of correct material, correctly machined, and carefully case-hardened and otherwise heat treated. They should be nicely finished by sand-blasting, blacked by heat or otherwise reducing the risk of rusting. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
