R.R. 235A (100 T) (S.H. 159. 11-8-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2800 TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} Copy to - C.L. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} 4 WHEEL BRAKES - PHANTOM & INDIA. I have suggested that it is possible you will find an improvement in altering the arrangement of springs so that the servo has a direct pull backwards at a spring of about half the hold off springs on the front axle. This should considerably reduce the friction required at the suspension of the floating lever. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} is sending you the particulars I have suggested should be tested. We will go over the Phantom arrangement to see how the friction on this suspension link can be improved. FHR R.{Sir Henry Royce} Handwritten notes: X8420 X5940 | ||
