| HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}G/KW. Exptl. Dept. 21st March, 1935. A.H.R. Fedden, Esq., The Bristol Aeroplane Co.Ltd., Bristol. Dear Fedden, Replying to your letter of March 5th, we can fit the cross member between the headlamps and the bumper bar when your car comes to the Works. There is no doubt that this will steady the headlamps, but in our opinion it will not make much difference to the low speed wobble. I am afraid that we cannot agree that the brake squealing is not due to the cycle type mudguards. As I believe Mr. Sidgreaves has told you, our complaints of brake squeaks with normal type wings are almost negligible. We are prepared to do what we can to improve the car in this respect as it is, but do not anticipate that we shall be able to effect a cure. As far as we are concerned we could deal with the chassis in three weeks' time; we should want it at the Works about a week. Yours sincerely, | ||
