20/25 HP. REVISED BONNET AND DASH.

We thank you for your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}=Rn{Mr Robinson}6/AD13.8.30.

As we understand that neither Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} or yourselves like the look of the radiator and bonnet of 18-G4. we have made a modification to the radiator on the lines suggested by R.{Sir Henry Royce} and E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} during your last visit to WW.

We must retain the shallowed top tank as a raised side hinge is essential to the appearance of the complete car.

We have reduced the taper of the radiator in plan to that of our present standard. This makes the appearance practically as the present standard.

As we wish the 20/25 to be as up-to-date as P.2. we have shewn the following modifications to the bonnet etc. as already agreed to for P.2.

(1) Sheathed side hinge - see N.sch. 3127.
(2) Stiffened bonnet and bonnet carried over dash as on N.sch.3095 for P.2.
(3) Larger dia. meter and more squat filler - see N.sch.2980
(4) P.2. type catches.
(5) Delete nickel strip along bottom of bonnet side panel and bring panel down to .250 of the rest plate

We think that such a bonnet and radiator should be fitted to 18-G4. before it is shewn to R.{Sir Henry Royce} or Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} again. This is possible as the dash configuration has not been altered.

We are informed by E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} that he has sent By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} the necessary instructions for fitting the latest large thermostat to the shallowed radiator top tank of the 20/25.

Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}

N.sch.3139 enclosed.
