Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.2/MH.{M. Huckerby}19.9.38.

8.B.V. - WATER PUMP AND THERMOMETER.

Confirming our verbal request, will you please put a thermometer union in the radiator top tank of this car, and also a thermometer pocket in the bottom water pipe.

With regard to the water pump to SCD.861, we requested you to produce a set of thrust rings in Tufnol material as an alternative to the "Ferobestos" N.W.1 material specified on the drawing. Will you please fit the pump up at the earliest possible moment with the Tufnol pieces, and fit it to our pump test rig in the Tomb where we wish to carry out some endurance running prior to fitting this pump to the car.
