Burt - Engineer}9.6.39, from which we note that the Armstrong hydraulic damper sent to you by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM{Anthony F. Martindale} has completely cured the brake thump on B.6.MR, and that you now require a further 6 sets of parts. Since sending you this set, we have modified the fixing so that it can be fitted to any Bentley without drilling any holes in the frame or disturbing the brake mechanism in any way (except, of course, for the disconnection of the present friction device), and it therefore becomes a very simple modification which can be fitted up in about a quarter of an hour. 50 sets of these parts are now being ordered by Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}, and a Depot Sheet will shortly be issued. The 6 sets you require will of course be taken from the 50 sets referred to. BY/SBSa | ||
