These cars have not been out at all this week, we have had the bodies off and examined all parts thoroughly. The cylinders have been taken off each car and the carbon cleaned out, the brakes have had new liners fitted where necessary. The new axle has been fitted to 2260. The dynamo pulleys have been taken off and the rings fitted which were sent from Derby; the petrol tank guards have been made and fitted and the undershields repaired.

To make the cars complete we require two new oil sump covers, the old ones were broken on the Packalpe. We found the lug on the front cross member cracked when we came to change it, it is fortunate that the stronger ones had been made and sent out. I have since examined two other cars which are running about here 1844, 2216 ?. On both of these this cross member had been working and I could tighten the bolts.

When we were testing pivots on the track these cross member lugs cracked.

We have had a lot of trouble with the cap inside the Dunlop hubs, in the first place there is not a spanner in the kit that will fit it, the hexagon could be made a little larger to suit our spanner. The trouble we have had is to screw this cap in, the reason is the split pin in
