Mr.Thompson. ------------------ This chassis is at Park Ward's Works being mounted with a Standard Saloon Body. It has a special steering column 2½" longer than standard, fitted in accordance with the customers instructions. When a few days back he made a trial of the seats at Park Ward & Co.'s Works, the customer decided he would prefer the standard length column. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} has already asked By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} to arrange for a standard length column to be despatched. Will D/BP. see that it is sent to K.{Mr Kilner} as early as possible, and will K.{Mr Kilner} please telephone us when it arrives so that we may arrange for the car to be brought along to them. The existing elongated column should be returned to W. when dismantled. We attach our order for the changeover and shall be glad if K.{Mr Kilner} in turn will send W. a confirmation order for a new standard length column. Will Tr.{Capt. F. W. Turner - Finance} please advise us as soon as possible what we should charge Mr.Thompson for re-placing the special long column, with the standard, and whether full credit can be allowed for the long column.
