Further to your letter of the 25th instant enclosing prints of RE.1690 and RE.1691, we have much pleasure in confirming that we shall be pleased to undertake the manufacture of 12 Bushes for test purposes and propose charging you on a time and material basis which is our usual practice for work of this description. It will probably be possible for us to manufacture this small quantity without the necessity of making many tools but should this part be required in production quantities a complete set of new tools will, of course, be necessary. We are, at the moment, experimenting with various grades of Clevite material to ascertain the most suitable strip for ball indenting and shall be pleased to acquaint you with our results in due course.
