Y.3751. MODIFIED TYPE OF ALUMINIUM SPLIT PISTON.

This piston is similar to the present split piston we are using except that the design has been gone over, bearing in mind the fact that the piston is split. The present piston we are using was never designed for a split piston.
We know that the present split piston has certain faults.
It is hoped that the new piston will tend to overcome these faults. We have run long enough with these pistons to know that they will certainly be no worse than those we are running now.
