B-106-GA. Mr. E.R. Hall.

The above car is being returned again as a chassis from the Coachbuilders. Mr. Hall has requested us to rebuild it as a standard production chassis. This means removing the engine, gearbox, rear axle, petrol tank and all Hartford shock absorbers.

The original engine Unit N.9.BT{Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer} is at present in chassis No. B-35-AE. This will have to be removed and refittedin B-106-GA.

Before fitting the original cylinder head back, will you please blank up the water holes of the first three cylinders with the exception of the front dowel in the block.

Front & Rear Brake Equaliser Levers :-

Will you please have these inspected and passed as standard.

The following parts are already to hand :-

Cylinder head
Induction system complete
Gearbox (less gear lever and gate, at present fitted on close ratio box). } Mr. Bassano.

Rear axle gears 10 x 41 - Mr. Pritchard.

Petrol Tank (FB.374 type) - Mr. Bull.

The original petrol tank and bumper complete have been credited back and used up on production.

Both chassis B-106-GA and B-216-GA were stripped of bumpers and credited as not required, to owner's instructions.

The rear buffer rubbers require modifying to standard, by removing the wooden packings only.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/G.H.Ratcliffe.
