Re: Phantom Steerings.

We yesterday tried the steering position on 14.EX. which from information supplied from W. we found to be approximately the same to the new proposed 'D' steering for G.2.B. series.

We have formed the opinion that this 'D' type steering for G.2.B. series, will be quite satisfactory and will overcome one of the main disadvantages of the standard 'D' - i.e. the rather long reach to the clutch pedal which most people of normal stature found necessitated bodily movement to fully disengage the clutch.

With regard to an 'E' steering, we suggest this should be approximately 2" lower than 'D' and we should be glad if you would draw this out with a view to seeing whether it is considered that the visibility would be satisfactory bearing in mind the fact that the height of the radiator and dash are going to be increased for G.2.B. series.

You will also doubtless consider the relative positions of the change speed and brake levers.

Perhaps you will be good enough to send us blue print as soon as you have schemed it out on the above basis.
