HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/LOV.{Mr Lovesey} FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} X7080 E1/MS.5.31. 6 Copy to - BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} P. 2. TWIN CARBURETTERS. We understand you to say that you had cancelled the slow running adjusting screws and replaced them by an eccentric hole plug, rotationally adjustable. This does not appear to be the case on the car we have here which shews the original adjustment in the front and plain plug in the back. Perhaps there are two sets of carburetters of this type in existence. In the final design it is proposed to make the front hole fixed with no adjusting screw, and to use parallel metering screws of selected diameters in the rear holes as a Works adjustment not to be altered by the customer. These rear screws we are arranging to make more accessible. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
