X.3386. With reference to the above, will you kindly note it is unnecessary to make any bench tests of this, as tests have already been made and we have full records. The only test that we require making is on an engine, when it should be so arranged that this pump pumps petrol to a tank which feeds a carburetter, and it should be verified that more [handwritten above 'some'] some [crossed out] petrol is pumped at all speeds and under all conditions than is actually used by the engine. A further test should be the effect of dirt, water etc, in the petrol, or any other similar causes which might have any bad results. BY.RB.{R. Bowen} | ||
