X5770 It is always very difficult to give the exact date of manufacture of an experimental car because we are always adding new parts to it. 11-G-111 is a 1927 model before the new steering was introduced. It would be necessary for the car to be overhauled before we could take any responsibility for its condition. Also there are several experimental parts which will have to be removed. At present the body, which is a Barker Laundaulet, is mounted on a subframe. There is no reason why we could not sell this body. We have no further use for it. There is a modified steering on this car but it has already been standardised for replacements on [strikethrough]repair[/strikethrough] cars - this can be left on. It is fitted with a lightened type flywheel and clutch which we recommend are replaced by standard. It has hydraulic dampers front and rear. We have seen the Repair Dept. and they estimate that it would take from 2 to 3 weeks to get this car in a saleable condition. We could hand this car over to the R.D. and leave it until after the holidays. It is difficult to give a mileage for this car because as we have pointed out, we are always replacing parts. | ||
