type 4, which as you no doubt remember was a very poor job. It seems that this type WD{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} might be improved by thicker insulation between the end case & the brush holder. this insulation strips is only about .062" thick at present & leakage might easily occur here when a deposit of copper dust from the brushes has taken place.
