re Body for first SpectreCodename for Phantom III - 30-EX.

We sent you herewith:-

EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}S.121 showing 1/4 scale layout of the Park Ward standardised enclosed drive limousine, modified to suit the first SpectreCodename for Phantom III chassis 30-EX.

The body is already in hand as far as the unaltered portions are concerned and complete information will be in the hand of Messrs. Park Ward & Co. by the beginning of next week.

They will make the necessary building jig and also produce the sheet steel wheel arches and body bottom pipes.

This drawing will serve to fix the positions of the step irons and body bracket, and also the position of the petrol tank filler.

The body brackets 1,2, and 3 from the dash are intended to be the present Phantom. The 4th and 5th body brackets are similar to these but require special details.

The 1st and 2nd step irons from the dash are shewn the same as the present Phantom except for the position of the bend.

The 3rd step iron is illustrated in a 1/4 scale section and needs to be drawn out.

With respect to the side lever mechanism, we wish to leave the gear change lever ball at the present dimension of 18.4 from the centre line of the car when in neutral but we wish to modify the position and shape of the hand brake lever, moving its top out to a dimension of 19.8 from the centre line of the car, as on Phantom. We have mentioned this to E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner}

It will be seen from this drawing that there are certain areas along the inside of the frame which are masked by the side of wells in the floor or the side of the well belonging to the wheel arch. We are keeping the sides of
