DERBY. Dear Sirs, We are exceedingly sorry that owing to an oversight we have not reported to you on the failure of the Bentley Thermostat which you returned to us on the 28th December. The cause of failure was a fracture of the bellows, but we much regret that we are unable to state the reason for this fracture. Possibly the bellows was over-stressed in manufacture, and we would like you to regard this as an exceptional case seeing that failures of this type are very rare indeed. The element is being repaired and will be returned to you in the course of the next 2 or 3 days. Yours truly, THE BRITISH THERMOSTAT CO.LTD. W.Martin-Hurst. Director. | ||
