HYDRAULIC SHOCK DAMPERS.

The chief details to be cleared up on this item at present are :-

(1) To determine the minimum spring pressure required in the spring loaded gland to make this oil tight.
(2) To determine the life of the spring loaded gland by an endurance test on the bumping rig.
(3) To try out the new cap casting with a capacity of 12 c.c. with the W.W. type breather and see if this is satisfactory with regard to allowing for expansion and rigidity for preventing oil leaks from its lower face.

The remaining experiments with regard to filter and anti-chattering device will have to wait until the new castings come through to the latest N.sch.
