PHANTOM STARTER MOTOR. X.8620. X.7620.

We send you herewith drawing LeC.2334. shewing -
(1) alteration to Phantom crankcase required for carrying the starter motor,
(2) particulars of the spigoting end of starter motor,
(3) new gear ring required for flywheel.

You will note that the cover end of motor has been made a little smaller on this drawing.

We should be glad if you would set out this motor position relative to EAC.7 frame, and also the latest exhaust system. We believe the undershield problem is improved a very small amount only.

Our main idea in getting this scheme going is to test the principle of starter motor operation.

To complete the information you require we still have to send you the winding and terminal positions, which we shall work out as soon as we have completed one or two jobs on RR.F.10.

AJS.
