We think the rear tank should be modified, to be brought into line with the Phantom. The double filter is excellent because of its convenience in the case of a blocked filter, and because of its giving the effect of the reserve compartment. The petrol gauge should have a white face, and be increased in diameter the same as the 40/50. The filler should be increased in size, but not as large as the latest Phantom, and fitted with a special air pipe and sleeve.

Since this car is becoming such a valuable part of our business I feel inclined to slightly increase the length of the chassis if it is thought that it would materially increase the sales. We do not however, want to increase the weight, height or width of the body, or we shall handicap it much greater than the simple increase in length. We do not want to make it compete, or appear to approach the 40/50 in appearance, so that I much prefer to keep it as it is, but I do not want to be a dog in the manger, and prevent its more universal sale.

We must however remember that the 40/50 is our real speciality, and we should have nothing that will detract from its unique position.
