| 4961d Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}6/KW. 18th February, 1935. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Thompson Esq., Middleton Hall, Kings Lynn. Dear Mr. Thompson, I have heard from Lord Rothes, and am arranging for a standard column length to be sent down for your car. Lord Rothes does not seem clear as to whether you could do the deal for the Bentley with anyone except Bentley Motors. We of course made special provision that you should be able to place the order with anyone you liked, and this is clearly set out by Bentley Motors in their letter of the 8th November, which reads as follows :- "We understand from Mr. Robotham of our Derby Works that you are desirous of confirming your order for a 3½ litre Bentley standard 4-door Saloon by Messrs. Park Ward & Co.Ltd., the chassis of which we have reserved for delivery the end of December, complete car 5/6 weeks later, but in doing so, you reserved the right to place the order through any trader you may wish to name. We therefore have pleasure in enclosing herewith our official order form for the car, which we would ask you kindly to complete and return to us, together with deposit mentioned thereon. Yours sincerely, | ||
