EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.12/JH.

23rd. August, 1938.

Messrs. Ferodo Ltd.,
Chapel-en-le-Frith.

For the attention of Mr. Sutcliffe.

Dear Sirs,

With regard to our recent conversation with you at your Works, when you told the writer that no difficulty would be experienced in machining your Ferobestos NW.{N. Walker - Patents}1 material, we have requested our experimental production people to make pieces to attached prints EXC.635 and SK.5079 (Marked up print) and they state that they are having a great deal of difficulty in doing so.

Accordingly we would like you to make us two sets of these pieces if you can do this so that we can then take the matter up further with them.

Our official order will follow on receipt of your advice that these pieces are complete.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
