I omitted to make any reference in my memo. of yesterday to the springing.

I am not sure whether this is the same car that I drove for a short distance the last time we met out at St.Albans, but if not, I believe it has the same type of springing.

I certainly did not find that it swayed or rolled to the same extent as the car I drove on that occasion, and if it is the same car or the same springing, I can only assume that it was because on that occasion the car had a fairly full load whereas when away at Easter the back part was unoccupied.

So far as I was able to judge by driving the car, I thought that the springing seemed very good.

There is just one other point in connection with the accident and that is that at first I was very much afraid that the steering would have been damaged and, before driving the car again, I had this very carefully examined and checked over and no fault could be found with it.

I thought, however, that you would wish to have this looked over at your end when you receive the car back.
